Our Story

It all started in 1999 with a dream, a ticket to Hawaii, and a woman on the precipice of a great change. After hiking a live volcano, Nora Anna was left with the realization she had been seriously overworked and needed a change. On this trip, she realized that she could no longer stay with her company. Corporate was no longer working for her. Nora decided to start off on her own and be a service to her community.

On that trip to Hawaii a consulting company was born. It had no name, no clients, and no revenue but it had a leader who had the courage to try. With a background in various industries from livestock to Wall Street, Nora knew she had the skills to help any company. She decided to focus on small businesses as they are an underserved sector of business society and 67% of the economy of the United States. Nora realized that in this sector she could make a real difference and help people.

After reading a book about Arizona inspiration struck, the company would be named- Coconino Consulting - after the Coconino National Forest - her most favorite hiking area. Since that day, Coconino Consulting has been servicing local businesses in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY - even through 9/11, the 2008 Recession, and the Pandemic.
